Privacy Policy

This page explains how the Al-Shorja - Iraq Market store and its app collect, use and protect data.

Data we collect

  • Account data: your name, email, phone number and password (kept encrypted), and what you add yourself: your photo, date of birth, gender and governorate.
  • When you sign in with Google or Apple: the identifier they send, your email and name, and from Google your profile photo too, shown in your account. We use them only for signing you in and for your account.
  • When you verify your phone number: we send a 6-digit code to your number through the verification messages provider (WhatsApp, Telegram or SMS), and keep that your number is verified.
  • Order data: products, addresses and the selected payment method. We don't store card numbers.
  • What you write to us: messages, reviews, questions and photos you upload.
  • The device's notification token, to send you order notifications and offers if you agree.
  • What you keep to get alerts: the products you save and the searches you ask to be alerted about, and your cart's contents so we can remind you if you leave it.

The app doesn't use the advertising ID, doesn't show ads, and doesn't track you across other apps or sites.

How we use it

  • Fulfilling and delivering orders and contacting you about them.
  • Signing in, protecting the account and preventing fraud.
  • Reply to your messages and support requests.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share only what is needed with: the delivery company to deliver your order, the payment gateway you choose, Firebase by Google to send notifications, Google and Apple when you sign in with them, and the verification messages provider (your phone number and the code only) when you verify your number.

Retention period

We keep account data as long as the account exists. When you delete the account your personal data is deleted, and past orders remain without your data for accounting purposes.
